Rubber Hoses and Tubes and Pipes,Oh My!

Ah, rubber corrugated hoses. Why do I love these things?
'''Vell my boy,Vy not tell ze doktor vot you zink ze attraction is for you...'' I'd guess something to do with the first time in my life when any adult was actually sadistically cruel to me...''Ah you mean ze dentist who slapped you about, then held you down and gassed you...for your own good, naturlich?'' Yep I was only a little kid, terrified of this traumatic event. But [to quote RLS] ''I remember it as if it were yesterday''. The surgery, the leatherette dental chair, the heavy rubber orinasal mask that led to the thick black shiny rubber corrugated hoses connecting to the anaesthesia machine with its glass and chrome, steel cylinders and breathing bags...Even then watching and almost recording the event in my head as the mask was held down on me and the dentist held me tight in his strong arms and I struggled and screamed as the sweet rubber smelling gas was gulped down until the world went liquid and wobbly and my yelling ceased. I was not knocked out but I was paralysed and unable to feel anything...but I could see a blurry and floating world around me..etched into my memory many years on. When I was a kid,60's England seemed full full of old WW2 gasmasks with long rubbery hoses hidden in every loft and we used to play spacemen games with them.At the same time TV was showing rubber twin hosed frogmen in prime time as underwater photography was perfected and demonstrated for wildlife and exploration films, whilst tv drama series followed a newfound public interest in diving and things subaquatic.Twin hosed black rubber frogmen floated through my dreams, those quivering black corrugated shiny rubber hoses.Well you get the jist...Seems hoses and tubes[and even tentacles...] seem to exert a fascination with some of us. No idea why,but maybe there are some answers on this neat little diagram of pervery I recently found by googling. As well as the diver and medical possibilities what else? A penis fixation maybe? Something to do with the umbilical cord? DIY Psychiatry is such fun!Seems there are no end of interesting bits of kit available to buy involving hoses and breathing bags.An example below from Berli-Gum,perhaps priced more for 'solvent gentlemen' as it was once politely put to me at a fetish gear show. .There are some truly wonderful hoses and attached hoods, masks and breathing bags about though. The wealth of stuff around on the fetish scene is testimony to the way hoses seem to grab the imagination of gear designers. For those of us not so financially blessed there is a lot you can do with an inventive mind, surplus army gasmasks and sections of rubber corrugated tubing.Decent new rebreather bags cost around £50 and last for years and any hardware megamart is a cornucopia of valves and fittings. Of course as you experiment you learn to play safe and enjoy the sensation of warm moist recycled rubbery smelling air panting and wheezing its way around your tubes and breathing circuits. As the CO2 builds up the breathing gets heavier and you get turned on by it all ..Trouble is, far too many BC players end up having accidents.Unconsciousness, then death by asphyxiation just happens so fast. But just as you can enjoy a cliff walk without falling off, there is no reason why sane BC play cannot be safe, especially that involving a partner. Above and to the right is frogman59 who greatly loves military rebreathers and is a great artist of twin hosed underwater mayhem on his site![click dildo...] Below is a very nice pic from GSXRubber who seems to be greatly enjoying his tubed rebreathing session in rubber. For some it will be more the visual thing and the ability to conjure fantasies up about the rubber tubed pervert facing you! I like playing around with compressed air breathing systems [SCBA and SCUBA sets] and combined with rubber kit and complicated gasmasks[tubes, rebreather bags etc] have explored this little fantasy quite a way. With Oxygen rather than air. With popper delivery sytems. With Nitrous Oxide. With Ethyl Chloride and even Ether.Lots and lots of horny images online as to how guys have fabricated interesting gas breathing sytems...perhaps not always so safely.I am amazed at how often I see pics and vids online of systems made by guys who seem to think that breathing neat nitrous oxide is a good idea. [It is not...any breathing mixture needs oxygen, regardless what your senses tell you when breathing nitrous, which dampens down the suffocation response whilst suffocating you] Just wish all this stuff was not so bad for your health, otherwise I would spend my life in a gaseous realm of dreams....Even more fun to have scenes with other rubber guys so kitted. For me the best, fully kitted out with breathing equipment in a heavy rubber club play area, ideally with a wet area. But how about being outdoors at night in a gay cruising park so kitted? The best fun I ever had, after all the sillier guys had run off in terror.leaving me to play with the real rubbermen! Panting and gasping into my mask through the thick rubber shiny tubes, finally squirting over some cute squirming rubberskinhead in the mud beneath my filthy waders! Ah the great things you can get up to in parts of suburban north London woodlands at night! And all this comes from a small dental anaesthesia procedure carried out on me! So thanks Mr Dentist! Quite a fetish you gave me!

Clumptastic!

Click on the pics to enlarge!Kind of continuing on from the previous post about boots,I realised how much I was turned on by heavy divegear 'lead boots' of the kind commercial divers sometimes wear. Some designs have a lead insole or clog over a heavy rubber or canvas boot, and some are made of bronze or steel, forming weighted clogs.Whilst very clumsy on the surface they make a lot of underwater tasks a lot easier, for instance ones that require standing upright on a seabed or on a metal frame underwater to get some leverage for heavy tasks such as pipe connection or surface scrubbing, and a way to stay in one place when welding or cutting underwater, instead of floating about. Some divers seem pretty adept at jamming themselves into a space to work though. Commercial dive gear is about other things as well as boots! It involves a heavy protective steel helmet, with surface supplied breathing mixes. Divers also carry their own emergency backup air, along with harnesses and weight systems. An umbilical line consisting of an airhose, rope, depth sensor tube and telecom connection to a surface control panel .Some divers even have electric lines to power video cameras and lights and even electrically heated undergear. Some suits use a hot water pipe to the diver to provide a suit heating system. So divegear has to keep the divers warm, keep them weighted, protect them from pollutants in the water, and needs to be resistant to abrasion and tears. Cotton drysuits over heavy woollen clothing were what the early helmet divers used, then rubberised suits. Modern drysuits are often made of a rubberised heavy nylon based material and are very strong. The suits are pretty heavy in themselves and limit movement to quite some extent.I think a lot of this gear is attractive to me because it is associated firmly again with strong and courageous masculine guys. But |I notice what really turns me on when I look at them are the everchanging rubbery folds and ripples, combined with the wetlook sheen. Oddly they seem to hide physique definition, but they seem to accentuate bulk. Commercial divers have to be pretty fit though, and many do not work much past 40. I find big men, even overweight ones, more imposing and masculine than well defined but slim muscular guys.[Nice story 'Spiro' here !]Divers usually have to be reasonably fit and sometimes I think anyone who can wander around with up to 50Kg of extra weight attached to them deserves a medal! Its not a problem underwater of course, divers are surprisingly bouyant underwater[air in drysuits and lungs etc] and may need over 20kg of lead just to stay down!Talking with a friend recently about his liking for 'encumberance' from heavy gear...but for him it must be real kit,not just carrying extra weights around or layers of clothing or fetish gear..Some of that to me is the look of a guy straining and struggling with his dive kit,so heavy and unwieldy on the surface. Can almost see these guys gasping for air as they pant in their helmets as they struggle with gear and clump around on the surface... Most sports divers are actually quite graceful underwater.but on the shore or on a dive boat it is a different story, and accidents on rocking boats with fully kitted divers are a danger! Usually divers are effortlessly quite able to hover motionless in still water, though I can recall a few exceptions with buddies floating all over the place and flailing around in the lightest of currents [and even dangerously shooting to the surface usually due to difficulties with dry suit bouyancy] A commercial diver gets weighting just as he wants it for the job, whether it be slightly heavy, very heavy or free swimming.Maybe the steel segmented atmospheric dive suit is the ultimate encumberance...Far too heavy to walk in above the surface, the diver has to be kitted up inside a frame support and winched down into the sea by crane, though once underwater he is surprisingly mobile, even possessing directional propellors to orientate himself in the water.Rebreathers also preclude the need for umbilical hoses.
All divers make mistakes and the important thing is how they deal with them. The 'Oh my god I'm going to die' type is not much use underwater nor is the 'I'm going to die and that's fine with me' diver! For example.divers lose weights and even whole weightbelts sometimes and when they do, it is a good idea not to go with the flow and ascend uncontrollably, unless you want to spend your last minutes on this planet in agony coughing up blood on the surface [the bends] awaiting the emergency helicopter to a decompression chamber. Far better to work out some strategy such as working your way slowly up a shotline or anchorchain, grabbing hold of a rock to compensate, dumping all the air out of your suit, seeing if a buddy has a spare weight and so on...Heavy divegear is very much a turn on for me,then, whether it be just as part of normal diving or even indoors, where I find kitting up in heavy divegear is always a nice way to pass a few hours when the weather outside here is in 'Appalling' or 'Horrendous' modes![should be new settings added for Scottish Barometers..] Another way is wandering through the extensive YouTube galleries of 'diverporn'.... A few examples below to get you started!

More Rubber Sole

Ever since I was caught in the changing rooms at school as a kid, trying on an older lads boots [shock horror!],I knew I was pretty turned on by boots and the guys that wore them. All kinds of boots really, wellies and waders, workboots, hikers boots and even platform soled boots. The clunkier the better I guess. And they did not have to be immaculately shined or polished either. The first boots I had noticed were workmens wellies as they got on with an interminable job of laying drains in the rural village where I was brought up.These were muddy and ragged..often turned over at the top and tucked into old jeans or black PVC overalls. This was long before the days of hi viz safety wear and outdoors workers were free to wear what they liked, though a few got warm heavy 'Donkey Jackets'[Nice vid with 60's workies here ]So I guess buying endless pairs of boots, wearing them with other gear and bootplay have always been part of the things I liked. Although bootplay can be pretty rough, like being kicked on the floor by a bunch of skinheads in boots [As I was,in a homophobic attack when I was 17...At least one of my attackers was also gay incidentally...but had a very nasty way of showing it],it can also be something less violent for two gearheads to share. I can remember several sessions of 'mutual boot worship' that had little to do with SM scenes, but were pleasant and horny gearplay experiences to be enjoyed and savoured. Its been said before, but just because you like boots, rubber or leather or even bondage does not mean you got to also be into violence, heavy roleplay, pain, verbal abuse or dirty stuff..I guess,as mentioned before in an earlier post in my old site, there is a very phallic look to a boot... a 'dick and balls' kind of shape. In boots, the toe is often accentuated by a toeguard as is the heel and even the ankle sometimes, which accentuates the look. Not that lots of shapes around us from buildings to starships aren't also this shape..I suspect it may be just something that happens inside designers heads unconsciously.Although,of course a boot follows the shape of a foot to quite some extent usually.
Soles are a great turn on to me. Thick rubber cleated soles with heavy prints and studs. Even with metal segs and toeguards. Cowboy boots with spurs .Steelworkers boots partly made of protective metal;Electricians heavily insulated rubber boots,Lumberjacks boots with protection from chainsaw blades,Sewermans boots with metal studded soles.[Though my experiences with metal studded waders were nearly disastrous...they have virtually no grip on stone pavements, hard floors and steps!]Always loved the drawing above and maybe it says a lot about my being neither 'top' nor 'bottom' that a favourite fantasy of mine is a good fuck of this helpless bondaged guy but at the same time worshipping his soles and boots...'course in this position he would not have a great deal of choice, heh heh!We have boots today that are quite removed from anything practical, and even police boot and riding boot designs have been tweakled by fetish boot makers to accentuate a certain look..whether it be right up to the knee or with very thick Vibram soles. One might stress the dominance of the wearer...the other might sublimally suggest that the wearer is a strong outdoors workman. I am a great fan of 'Gothboots',like 'New Rockstas' and it seems I am not alone,as they have been adopted by the fetish communities! So much is hidden anyway in what turns us on. Most of us never analyse stuff too much...it just is,and thats fine.....But there is a whole field of psychobabble out there that examines what turns people on and why,and seems there is usually a reason for everything! Maybe in the days when people suffered from fetishism, quacks could make a pretty penny from analysing them and helping them realise why they were sick perverts and even suggest 'cures'! These days of course anyone with any common sense enjoys the fetishes that turn them on...so less guilt and worry around and less work for the shrinks. Dr Desmond Morris was writing about this stuff 30 years ago,and I got to say.'Peoplewatching' and 'The Naked Ape' are still quite good reads if you are interested in what makes us tick..To those that wonder why I don't just get on with my interests and stop dissecting everything online,I can only reply 'A life not analysed,is a life not worth living' [Plato!]

Steel Armour Fetish

Tried to see if there was a word for this,'Ferrophile?', 'Armourist'? 'Protection Gear Freak'?...But whatever it is,I love steelsuited protection, and more! Steel through my body, steel as genital weights and rings, steel that goes into me,steel that conducts electric current through me..But most of all I love steel suits, whether they be plate armour, armadillo like slices of steel protecting limbs or flat moulded pieces of metal to cover sections of the torso, even steel boots and gauntlets and of course steel face helmets, The fantasy for me does not translate into reality with the suits as they are not something affordable or even practical,at least for me.But not for all! There are lots of guys into plate armour out there, and there are even plenty of historical reenactment societies. This provides a market for professional armourers, who make up all sorts of equipment from a chestplate through to a whole plate armour suit. Even incredible fantasy armour suits can be made up,and some people commission a suit piece by piece as resources allow...needless to say, these require specialist skills to manufacture, and are designed to fit the owner! I notice one of the more enterprising companies that make armour and beautiful steel helmets hail from India, offering craftsmanship with competitive pricing! Here in Europe we are a bit spoilt by museums and castles filled with suits of armour, many not very genuine,I suspect. But the ones that are give an interesting perspective to how short most men were 6 centuries or more back. An exception might be the enormous and famous famous suit of armour for the English King Henry VIII. I once tried on some chain mail gear and was amazed by its weight."You get used to it after a bit" I was told.Makes me wonder what carrying another 30kg of armour might be like...hold on,as a diver I already know![tanks, weights etc]. Plate armour has to be worn over other kinds of gear such as mail.felt or leather, but it was always a fantasy of mine to be dressed head to foot in steel, over a thick rubber undersuit.Perhaps the fantasy continues as far as being turned into some kind of robot! And as for real robots, coming soon to a store near you, surely I'm not be the only one that sees the potential for chromed steel robots as sex toys! An old gay toon,'Meatman' had a storyline of a crazed sex robot ravaging the menfolk, and I cannot resist adding this bit of composite artwork on the right that illustrates a scene from the story! A great favourite superhero of mine, 'Iron Man' comes to mind, beautifully reimagined in the 2008 film 'Iron Man' . [see full HD movie here!]A second one is due out next year too, I can't wait! Over the decades Iron Man has been drawn with various suits, from something pretty primitive in the early Marvel Comics to the incredible suit above made for the film. A lot more than just an iron shell... as devotees will know,a suit with all sorts of gadgetry inside, that even enables Mr Stark to fly...A spacesuit is a kind of armoured suit, and early versions were actually modelled on mediaeval armour! The biggest problem has always been to try to get sealed joints that allowed movement in a vacuum...something that sounds easy but took years to get right. Many of these joints just seized up in testing, immobilising the guinea pig inside!A similar problem had to be overcome for underwater steel suits. Perhaps this is the ultimate piece of armour, made of incredibly strong steel alloys ..shown on the left is an an Exosuit 'atmosphere diving suit' which comes with its own rebreather allowing the diver to be free from surface air feeds. Shown below is a Newtsuit, designed to allow divers to descend to great depths in the sea [1000m+!] without being affected by the enormous pressures. These suits are now increasingly used for deep work underwater,as they compare very well with the costs of saturation diving, using heliox, dive bells and deco chambers.
The fetish interest for me of steelsuited men? Again probably links with impressions of hypermasculinity...the warrior, the military, the superhero, the diver, the spaceman. Perhaps being invulnerable and fully protected inside a solid shell. But there is also that shiny look of burnished steel and the exaggerrated body profile.Steel to me is sexy, and lost in my fantasies I sometimes dream of two struggling steel armour covered guys colliding and sparking together as they fight and tussle.Just on the far periphery of the fetish scene are guys that actually play like this,I am sure! There is a great steelsuit story here that links the fetish to bondage and punishment, interestingly enough...imprisoned for life in a steel suit!

Who's the Artist?

Click on the pics to see high def images...
Yes,you've probably seen these pictures before, some in the sidebar or on my previous site, but I take the opportunity to share scanned versions of the art, some in high definition. The artist is Micro, and he drew several images for Toy and Mr SM magazine, published by the Swedish 'Revolt Publications' some 3 decades ago. These gay fetish BDSM themed magazines were bought up by a German publisher in the 90's and I think are still going, although on a rather different format.. One feature of the old magazines were that they published great 'smutty drawings'-usually of a gay fetish BDSM nature,by all sorts of artists, some well known and some not and very amateurish, but the ideas were usually pretty hot..I think readers used to send in their own sketches a fair bit. 'Toy' and 'Mr SM' really hit me right between the eyes when I first saw them, there was just nothing else quite like them on the planet at the time... I read them from the mid 70's on,though they were quite illegal in the UK,but were easily found on trips to Amsterdam or Germany. For me,Micro's art works in several ways. The work is slightly cartoonish, with exaggerated features, mainly legs and feet, much in the same way that Tom of Finland plays with leg, torso and dick proportions, and the Chilean gay foot fetish artist Palanca naturally makes his feet enormous! Biginboots also adores rubber boots so in many of his pics the feet are a bit bigger than might be expected, but the result is quite powerful. Oddly,Tom of Finland rarely did this with feet, but he did tend to go for an almost photorealistic look to much of his work sometimes, especially faces.I've tried to draw fetish stuff myself and I know that getting black shiny clothing right is hard to do. Micro, however was pretty good at drawing leather and rubber. In fact his drawings were some of the first rubber toons that I ever jacked off to as they were the first I had ever seen! Another feature of good BDSM/fetish art is that it stimulates the imagination...For example, something should be seen to be about to happen,or in the process of happening. Porn is drawn for jacking off to...It should encourage fantasy,in that you can look carefully at a picture, close your eyes for an instant and let the image develope into a story in your head. I once had a bf who told me that he never fantasized, either jacking off to porn or when having sex...Struck me even then that this was rather sad,no imagination perhaps? Or maybe some people are more 'visual' than others....and some people do not even like porn, bless 'em! But who was Micro? Been trying to find out for years, and if Ad Schuring, who runs the Delftboys art site, doesn't appear to know then maybe no-one does! I'd guess Micro was German, though I also downloaded some of his unfinished sketches from a French source.I suspect he may have drawn under other names as well.. I'd love to know who this guy was and whether he just drew a few dozen pictures and that was it,or whether there was a lot more and not much got published...Does anyone have any more images by this artist? Or even high def versions of some of the stuff I have added here? I'd love to know...If you know or can help, leave a message below or email me using contact details section at the top right corner of this page.
